Dutch Eneco acquires Ecostream France
Ecostream to continue its successful business in the French solar market
Rotterdam/Avignon, 10-12-2009. Eneco Holding N.V. in the Netherlands will take over the activities of Ecostream France SAS, one of the leading French solar companies. The takeover of Ecostream France completes Eneco's acquisition of the insolvent Econcern group.
Focus on renewable energies
Eneco is one of the leading players in the Dutch energy market. Eneco applies an integrated distribution strategy and specialises in the production, transmission, trading, supply and metering of energy (electricity, gas and heat) and related products and services. Eneco is making a transition to becoming a sustainable energy company and will continue to make substantial investments in the area of sustainable energy in the coming years. In this process, the acquisition of Ecostream France is a strategically important step in order to extend the competencies in the solar sector.
